Belgium won by 8 goals and Netherlands by 7 goals

The two European superpowers have gifted two goal-scoring matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

 

Belgium beat Belarus 8-0 and the Netherlands beat Gibraltar 7-0.

 

Brighton’s Leandro Trossard and Leicester City’s Dennis Prayet scored the first international goals for Belgium. Michi Batsui scored the first goal for the team.

 

Belgium then topped the FIFA rankings with a 2-0 lead over Hans Vanakan.
Jeremy Doku made it 4-0 before the end of the first half.

 

 

Earlier, Trossard opened the scoring with a shot from 22 yards out. Most of the time he scored the fifth goal.
The last goal was scored by Christian Bennett.

 

Before that, Trosard and Vanaken completed a pair of goals.
With this victory, Belgium topped Group E with 7 points.

 

 

The Netherlands did not have much advantage in the first half against Gibraltar. They went to the break in the 41st minute with a goal by Barguis. However, the Dutch were on fire in the second half.

 

Memphis Deep scored a pair of goals. Luke de Young, Giorgino Vijnaldum and substitutes Donil Malen and Doni von de Vic scored one goal each.
