Cristiano Ronaldo’s previous record against West Ham

Cristiano Ronaldo will be in contention to start for Manc’hester Unite’d against Wet Ham this weekend.


Cristiano Ronaldo has had a fantastic start to his seco’nd spell at United, netting twice on his return aga’inst New’castle.


This weekend Cristiano Ronaldo will play his first ga’me at the London Stadium, a ground which was not even fully bu’ilt when he left Manch’ester United in 2009.


Unlike Ronaldo’s record agai’nst Newca’stle, which stood at 10 wins and one draw fr’om 11 gam’es prior to last week’s ma’tch, West Ham have prov’en to be trickier oppone’nts.


Ronaldo’s record against West Ham is four wins and three defe’ats from seven match’es.


Ronaldo won his first match against the Ham’mers, and then lost the next three, fina’lly scoring against them in a 2-1 defeat in 2007 at the fourth attem’pt.


The next 3 gam’es were consecutive wins, with Ro’naldo scoring four goals.


Ronaldo’s first match against West Ham o’nly came in March 2006, because previ’ous to then, the Hamm’ers were in the Champi’onship.


He featu’red in a 1-0 win at Old Trafford, with Ruu’d van Nistelr’ooy scoring the win’ner from a Park Ji-Sung assist.


Gerar’d Pique sta’rted in defence for United, with Ronaldo part of a front three with Van Nist’elrooy and Wayne Roo’ney.


Cristiano Ronaldo’s last gam’e against West Ham was in February 2009, which was also a 1-0 vict’ory.


This match was held at Upton Park, and Ryan Giggs scored the winning goal from a Paul Scholes assist.


Ronaldo started as part of a front three along with Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez.
