“That’s w’hat ha’ppens here at Old Trafford,” Sols’kjaer told BT Sport. “We threw cau’tion to the wind and we got lucky.
“They’re a ha’rd te’am to play against. Wh’en you have Cristiano on the pitch ther’e’s always a chance. Cristi’ano is so good in front of goal.”
Ronaldo’s goal ca’me at the tail-end of a relatively qu’iet game for the Portugu”ese star, a’nd Man Utd in general.

“He’s do’ne t’hat so many times,” Solskja’er sai’d, “and when you saw him [for Port’ugal] against Ireland a month ago, he mis’sed a penalty early, didn’t tou’ch the ball more or less, and scor’ed 2 great headers in the last minutes.
“That’s what he’s d’one throughout his career. He st’ays in the game. I’ve seen hi”m all day, the way he’s built up fo’r this game and when he gets that one chan’ce it’s a goal. He had a couple of h’alf-chances, but a true mark of a gr’eat finisher is that he keeps calm w’hen the [big] chance arri’ves.”
What did Ronaldo say?
“It’s my job,” Ron’aldo told BT Sport. “It’s a ver’y difficult game. Villarr’eal plays so good. They had many cha’nces. We struggled a little and we kn’ew it befor’e the game that we mu’st win the ga’me. It was tough.
“The team w’as a l’ittle ne’rvous in the first half and second half to be honest. We we’re a little bit lucky as well, whi’ch we di’dnt have last game but we had today.
“Great attitude fro’m our players and the fans pus’hed us a lot. This is what we need ‘when the team is not playing w’ell. An important win.”
