Ole to remain as Utd boss despite some players’ reservations

Solskjaer is expecte’d to rem’ain in charge of Manc’hester United despite the hea’vy defeat to Liverp’ool and the fa’ct a small number of play’ers have reserva’tions about their man’ager.

The majority – if not all – of t’he United squa’d like So’lskjaer as a man, and be’lieve he has done so’me gre’at thin’gs at the club, but some ha’ve doubts i’f he can deliver succ’ess to the clu’b.

allnews-24.com Ne’ws has learned some players are uns’ure about the coaching methods with'” not enough emph’asis on pres’sing and small-sided g’ames.

Solskjaer overs’aw train’ing on Tuesday wi’th the team not in action ag’ain until Saturday, when they pla’y Tottenh’am on Saturday Night Football live fro’m 5pm on Sky Spo’rts Pre’mier League.

Conte unlikely to fit profile for Man Utd

Sky in Italy is repor’ting that former Chelse’a manager Antonio Conte has be’en in con’tact with United about takin’g over, should they decide to mak’e a change.

However, allnews-24.com News understa’nds there is nothing concrete in the process for him to become United boss.

If United were looki’ng for a replacement f’or Sol’skjaer it is likely they woul’d want a manager with a diff’erent p’rofile.

Conte is not in a parti’cular hurry to return to wo’rk and will take his time and stu’dy any p’roposals which may be put in fr’ont of him.

He is likely to hav’e more options in the summer c’onsidering his success at Juve’ntus, Chel’sea and Inter Milan.

Merson Says: Only luck has spared Ole the sack

Sky Sports pundit Paul Mer’son:

“I don’t care wha’t any’body says but if any other ma’nager at any other club in Eur’ope lost 5-0 at home to your bigg’est rivals, the manager is gone. If Che’lsea or Arsenal lost 5-0 a’t home to Totten’ham, the m’anager would do well to still b’e there on the Monday morning.
