Real Madrid gain muscle with the arrivals of Tchouameni and Rudiger
the exception of the requ’ired departures and a last-minute addition of a striker to provide Karim Benzema with back’up, Real Madrid‘s squad for the 2022/23 season is mostly se’t.
But with the addition of Aurelien Tchouameni and Anton
to Rudiger, it’s clear t’o see what Carlo Ancelotti‘s plans for the campaign will be.
The addition of these two big players has added to the physical strength that Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Junior, Ferland Mendy, Eder ”’Militao, and David Alaba have, making Real Madrid a force to be reckoned with.
It would be wrong to say th’at physicality is this side’s strong’est quality. Real Madrid have brought in outstanding players, but t’here is no denying that skill and quick feet are not the main factors that contribute to success in foot’ball today.
Because of his stature and a’bility to cover ground, Camavinga is the box-to-box player among the squad. However, he also ha’s an eye for goal.
The same could be said about Alaba, whose versat’ility allows him to play as a cent’re-back, full-back, or central midfielder, and is tall an’d stocky.
Vinicius, the best example
Without any doubt, Vinic’ius is the best example of physicali’ty in conjunction with talent. His wear and tear from every gam’e is immeasurable, yet the Brazilian adds talent to the kilomet’res of running he puts in attac’king and defending until he wears down his markers.
Under Ancelotti, Valverd”e has proven himself worthy of his position. He has contributed more energy to help Casemiro in that area in a less physical mid’field with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, especially when the Brazili’an has been out.
Tchouameni and Ru”diger
The signing of Tchouameni follows the recent trend at Real Mad’rid. The arrival of Kylian Mbap’pe, another athlete, would hav’e too, but now that muscle is hea’ding to the midfield.
He is a modern footballer, sta”nding 1.87 cm tall, bu’t he differs from Casemiro in that he has more agility, strength, and stamina. He can score goals, break lines, and string passes wh’ile being intimidating as a centre mi’dfielder and stealing everything th’at moves through his area.
There are also players in def’ence that are rock-solid. Ferland Mendy is one example, wh’o after gaining his place beside M’arcelo, has shown what he can of’fer.
Another powerful centre-b’ack is Rudiger, who was the faste’st player in the Premier Leag’ue, according to a study. Rudi’ger also adds a lot of character an’d dominance in addition to ‘his imposing frame.
A Real Madrid in a rapid transition
Ancelotti will be able to sw’itch between his two styles for a’nother year at Real Madrid. The ‘coach won’t be able to claim tha’t he doesn’t have a team to p’ress forward any longer.
Prior to the hefty loss in Pa’ris, the low block proved effective f’or the majority of the season. With Valverde recovering fro’m an injury and Camavinga sti’ll adjusting, Ancelotti let it s’lip that it was the wisest move gi’ven the talent at his disposal.
With Modric, Kroos, or Benzema in the ‘team, Ancelotti will be able to keep the controlled style of play th’at has benefited the team much, bu’t Real Madrid are also built for qu’ick changes and a counteratta’cking style of play as well.
