Vinicius Junior’s Real Madrid deal ‘will include £860m release clause’
The 21-year-old was a key pla’yer for Los Blancos during the 20’21-22 campaign, scoring 22 goals a’nd registering 20 assists in ’52 appearances in all comp’etitions.
The Brazil international scor’ed 17 goals and registered 13 assi’sts in 35 La Liga appearances, as Carlo Ancelotti‘s side won the ti’tle, while he contributed fo’ur goals and seven assists in 13 Cha’mpions League outings, with the cap’ital giants lifting the trophy by bea’ting Liverpool.
Vinicius still has more than 2 years left to run on his contract at Bernabeu, but he is believ’ed to be one of the lowest earners, a’s he is still on the terms that he p’enned upon his arrival in Ju’ly 2018.
The South American is sa’id to be on the verge of signing a’ new deal at Real Madrid, which is li’kely to include a substantial salar’y rise to reflect his importance to th’e team.
“I will continue in the biggest clu’b in the world. This is just t’he beginning. I have many th’ings to conquer. I hope to have m’any trophies at the end of my ca’reer,” Vinicius told SporTV last m’onth.
“It’s normal with age [to take tim’e to develop]. I skipped many st’eps in training. I became a prof’essional when I was ’16 years old and still not fully form’ed. Real represented a huge amo’unt of pressure, but I had the h’elp of [Karim] Benzema, Marcelo and Casemiro, w’ho are very experienced players.
“I have always been evol’ving. This season was good, so i h’ope the next one will be better.”
The Brazilian is expected bac’k at the club’s training complex o’n July 12 to begin preparations f’or the 2022-23 campaign, when A”ncelotti’s side will be looking to defend their La Liga a’nd Champions League tit’les.
