The value of the first experience of large -panel construction
The enclosing structures of buildings were still made of piece brick, which, of course, was accompanied by artisanal methods of labor and traditional techniques for processing facades.
When evaluating the layout of houses, it should be noted the tendency common for the entire practice of our housing construction of that time to create two-three-room apartments with a middle residential area of 39-41 m2, which were settled in resource and apartment.
This trend is clearly expressed in the most popular, repeatedly repeated house in which the main types of sections of the M-2 series (meridional, latitudinal, angular and end) are used .
It should also be noted a further weakening of the attention of designers to the composition of a typical apartment. The layout of apartments of almost all sections, including the latitudinal ones, obeyed the diagram of the meridional section. So, for example, in most apartments of a residential building of latitudinal orientation in quarter No. 52, the rooms are strung on a corridor, which gives the apartment the nature of the hostel. In contrast to this, two and three -room apartments of bilateral orientation are allocated, all the premises of which are successfully grouped around the compact front. I must say that the structure of a compact two-three-room apartment was improved throughout the entire practice of housing construction of Magnitogorsk.
In residential buildings of the right -bank part of Magnitogorsk, little attention was paid to such “trifles” as pantries, built -in cabinets, niches, etc. P., without which it is impossible to create full -fledged living conditions in the apartment. But the subject of special care of the designers was a decorative duck of facades of houses facing the highway.
The orientation of architecture on the eve of the All -Union meeting on the construction of 1954. characterizes the development of the southern side of Zhdanov Street and round area completed by this time. The leading elements of the composition of the facades of residential buildings here were solemn, darkening apartments of porticoes, raised to a height of 3-5 floors, as well as massive inserts such as triumphal arches, which, having occupied already tight ruptures between houses, became an obstacle between the streets and the intra-quarter space.
